dear hanne´s lovely parents back in norway! :),
we have not forgotten about you, for i hope you don´t think we did. today, hanne and i ventured to chipotle in solon, we ate mexican food. hanne´s excuse for going there once (or twice) a week is that ´we don´t have this in norway´as a good friend, i journey to the closest mexican chain restaurant with her to eat. everytime, i feel sick to my stomach and ask myself, ´why do i do these things for you?´hanne´s reply is always ´because you love me´and then we proceed to curl up in the fetal position in pain because we have eaten too much, almost in tears. still, this activity remains on hanne´s favorite to do list. the things i do for this girl..
the reason i´m writing this note to you guys is because your daughter is my bestie and i love her dearly! you guys have raised her well ;) as you probably know, hanne just returned to ohio from denver and iowa for a week! i couldn´t even survive without her. just kidding, i didn´t sit in my room crying, but i did miss her deeply. that being said: I WANT TO COME TO NORWAY!! i want to come during winter break next year and visit ! i can´t wait until june to meet you guys!!

hei anna (and hanne). we do get mexican food here to!!! it is called texmex take away, but is probably far from the mexfood standard you get "over there". YES anna, YOU HAVE TO COME TO NORWAY, but i think we skip the texmex. lutefisk, ribbe, lammeskanker, etc. are more representative for norway. we do understand, and are very happy about the two of you being besties. as you understand it is of great importance for us that hanne get as much out of her stay in usa as possible. you are obviously an important part of that. have a nice new year celebration both of you!
ReplyDeleteYAY! so good to hear from you that you liked my letter! isn't hanne's blog fabulous? i read it everyday even though i know what she is doing day to day. haha :) tex mex sounds like it is basically chipotle and chipotle is not good american food! obviously its mexican but i am going to talk your daughter into eating some other yummy foods while she's here. maybe when she gets home she won't think of american food as chipotle hahaha. i really really want to come to norway over winter break next year!! can't wait to meet all of you guys :) and the new baby! i hear she is super cute.

hahah. Daddy do we have a tex mex in norway? Hell no, i didn't think that. Relax, I know that Anna like chipotle. I had breakfast and she wanted food. I was the one who wanted to hang out there for three hours which didn't quite work out. haha. but Mom and dad: you will LOVE CHIPOTLE. yum yum. good stuff.
